As someone who was apart of the admissions cycle last year, I can say with confidence that Osgoode and Ottawa were by far, the slowest schools of all the Ontario schools I had applied to. Queen's, Western and U of T were well-organized and relatively fast with clear responses to students who were inquiring about admissions (I truly believe that COVID-19 is responsible for how slow Queen's is being this year).
If this helps with anything:
Osgoode sent my my rejection last year May 13th 2019 (checked my inbox).
Ottawa sent theirs July 12th 2019 (also checked my inbox).
Queens, Western and U of T had all sent me admissions decisions well before these dates. As you can see, even without a pandemic, they were both quite slow. All we can do is sit tight with our fingers crossed. Best of luck to everyone, and know that you're not alone in this ❤️
I am wondering what types of jobs 1L's typically have in the summer? is there any websites I can look at to get an idea of what is offered for Law Students?
I'd also be open to doing volunteer and not paid work!
I was accepted May 12th on condition that I pass the TEF Express! I did the TEF Express on Monday the 25th, and I received my required score of C1 (for both reading comprehension and oral comprehension) this morning!!
If you guys have any questions about the TEF Express, and how it went you can message me!!
