Accepted McGill 2020

As we did last cycle, please keep the Admitted threads clear of extraneous discussion. They will remain more valuable and easier to navigate.

A reminder that Accepted threads are for posting your stats only and for asking brief questions related to the stats someone posts, e.g., asking for L2. These threads are not the place for further discussion, which should be asked via PM or in a new thread. OT posts will be deleted. Thank you!

Did you choose to respond in English, French, or both? I had my French interview a few weeks back, but my status has not been updated. Thank you and Congratulations!

I chose to respond in English & didn't receive the French condition. Good luck!!

Did you understand all of the questions the first time they were asked and did you respond in French or English? I am starting to lose hope of an acceptance as it appears most people that had a French interview were accepted a few days after. I had my French interview over a month ago! Thank you!

This waiting game has been agonizing, hang in there everyone and best of luck!

Congratulations! Glad that someone is posting after so many days of silence. Did you receive a direct email from them stating what they liked about your application or just a Minerva email? I have heard they are sending both and just curious if all of the acceptance letters sent out are personalized.  Thanks and congratulations again!

I am also curious to know whether acceptance letters are all generic. I received an email that looked generic and a letter through Minerva that seemed personalized, although it could also entirely be stock language.

I have not yet received the official letter through Minerva, the email said it will be available online tomorrow. I can message you both privately with the details that seem like they might be personalized.

I did my best to cater my Resume and Personal Statement. I obtained  Recommendation Letters  from two professors I know/knew well. Also : fluent in English, and French.

Admitted yesterday

CGPA: 3.99/4.3

No LSAT, no french interview (from Montreal, fully bilingual)

I can't really speak to the strength of my ECs or PS, I'm assuming they were good but this is very subjective.

My LoRs were written by profs I know very well and pushed me to apply, so I will assume they were good.
