Accepted McGill 2020

As we did last cycle, please keep the Admitted threads clear of extraneous discussion. They will remain more valuable and easier to navigate.

A reminder that Accepted threads are for posting your stats only and for asking brief questions related to the stats someone posts, e.g., asking for L2. These threads are not the place for further discussion, which should be asked via PM or in a new thread. OT posts will be deleted. Thank you!

I am extremely happy to announce that I have officially been accepted to McGill Law 2020.

GPA: 3.7

LSAT: None

Letter of references: I think they were pretty solid as professors were enthusiastic about my application and I took many courses with them.

PS: In my opinion, pretty strong. I was highly involved at Campus and in my community

Education background: B.A. Honours in Political Science. (Quebec Applicant)

Good luck to those waiting!

Thank you!! No they didn't call me. I'm a Quebec applicant and bilingual so I figure they won't call me.

First time postong after lurking on the forum for some time. I received my admissions this morning!

GPA: 3.90/4.0

LSAT: 173 (November)

EC: club executive, lots of volunteering, tutoring, UN simulation, consulting

Letters of Recommendation: I think good

PS: probably average

I am unsure yet if I will be accepting as I have some tempting offers from US law schools.

Nope! Which kind of surprised me honestly. I can converse in French with relative ease but I'd be pretty iffy reading legal texts.

Feels like an out of body experience to be posting here! I just got the email this morning!

LSAT:159 GPA: 4.0. Almost bilingual (French immersion, study abroad etc). No French call.

Good luck to everyone applying! And remember: no matter what happens you are a bright young person that will do amazing things!

Good luck everyone!

Did you have a French interview or Mature applicant interview scheduled? Also, are any other of you listed as accepted students above defined as Mature applicants? This is the first mature applicant acceptance that I have seen, and I am also waiting as a Mature and International applicant. Thanks!

Did you choose to respond in English, French, or both? I had my French interview a few weeks back, but my status has not been updated. Thank you and Congratulations!

Got the email today and I couldn’t be happier since it’s my top pick!

GPA: 3.61 on olsas but I suspect they calculated differently for McGill as my course sequence was weird due to co-op

LSAT: Took twice, averaged 157

LOR: I think pretty good because they were both profs I did extracurriculars with and both had gone to McGill Law

CV: international experience, bilingual (no French interview), school leadership roles, somewhat unique ethnic background, ongoing community development work.

Tbh I’m still in shock I got in and have been checking my email all day to make sure I read properly. Can’t wait to meet those of you who will be accepting! Good luck to those still waiting!!
