Accepted (Osgoode) 2020

As we did last cycle, please keep the Admitted threads clear of extraneous discussion. They will remain more valuable and easier to navigate.

A reminder that Accepted threads are for posting your stats only and for asking brief questions related to the stats someone posts, e.g., asking for L2. These threads are not the place for further discussion, which should be asked via PM or in a new thread. OT posts will be deleted. Thank you!

Hello everyone, I am feeling incredibly fortunate today!

CGPA: 3.70

LSAT: 158

Entered the queue December 16th, 2019.

I completed part B, and have what I would consider above average extracurriculars; though I know of no objective metric to judge what extracurriculars are considered by the admissions committee to be stronger than others.

In just now! (is anyone else in the same boat, or is this weird?)

CGPA: 3.92

LSAT: 158

No Part B.

Email only, not on OASIS yet.

Accepted March 31st

cGPA: 3.67

LSAT: 158

Filled out part b.

Your stats are extremely similar to mine above, Osgoode seemed to let in a slew of 158s on the 31st and that's extremely fascinating to me. Congratulations btw!

Just got the email!

LSAT: 154, 156 (Nov, Jan)

CGPA: 3.66 from U of T (3.62 on OUAC)

L2: probably 3.8?

1.5 years work experience at a top tier law firm downtown Toronto in marketing and business development. Plus other good work experience in municipal politics, etc.

Strong ECs in student government and student life.

Strong references, I believe, from profs I was very close with in undergrad.

Good personal statement, focused on my personal challenges with a chronic illness and my interest in equity and social justice as a result of my experiences and also my privilege (applied with equity consideration).

I hope you all hear good news soon!

Did you fill out part B?

In shock! :) :)

Accepted today after being in queue since January 7.

OLSAS cGPA 3.30 (STEM) / L2 3.84 / LSAT 165  / Equity and work experience cited in Part B / ~5 years of relevant work experience (academic research, law enforcement, paralegal, regulatory compliance consulting). I used the personal statements to explain the progression in my work experience and how it ties in with my personal background, and how all that relates to my motivation to be a lawyer.

Current and future applicants: don't lose hope because of lower cGPA!

Congrats! Pretty amazing background.

Do you mind sharing what time you go the notification at? Odd question but just wondering what time they usually send out offers so I can stop obsessively checking my phone after a certain time lol.

Congratulations again. All the best!

Congratulations again. All the best!

I checked Oasis up to 3am EST before going to bed and nothing was there. I received the automatic Oasis email and then a manually sent email with the offer letter around 9:15am EST.

You can PM if you need more info :)

CONGRATS!!! Very inspiring application! I just wanted to know if you applied as a mature student. I have similar stats but i did not apply as a mature student and wanted to know my chances.

Congrats again!!!

No I didn't! I'm not really a mature student as I'm rounding a bit and including work from before/during undergrad.

Received the email this morning! I've been in queue since December 19th.

cGPA: 3.3, L2: 3.7

LSAT: 167

I filled out Part B, explaining two dismal academic semesters in my 3rd year of undergrad, indicating how I bounced back for my 4th academic year with the best grades of my degree.

Also worked for 2 years post-undergrad in Big 4 consulting.

Ecstatic and excited!

Wait they called you for an interview? That's weird I've never heard of that happening!
