Accepted Calgary 2020

erinl2

As we did last cycle, please keep the Accepted threads clear of extraneous discussion.  They will remain more valuable and easier to navigate.

A reminder that Accepted threads are for posting your stats only and for asking brief questions related to the stats that someone posts, e.g., asking for L2. These threads are not a place for further discussion, which should be asked via PM or in a new thread. Off-topic posts will be deleted. Thank you!

    • Weird that Miller Thomson’s numbers aren’t on precedent yet. They did their hireback weeks ago (it was not good).
    • Waitlisted a few weeks ago.  LSAT 157, GPA 4.0, BC resident, was going to be declining since I have accepted close to home but before I even got chance to decline an email I got this morning said I had a status change so I logged into UNB online and under status change it says "at your request, for application has been cancelled, we do hope you will continue to consider unb in your future plans". I am wondering if this is actually their default message or not? Because I did not request for my application to be cancelled! If it is they have that worded very poorly.
    • Hello, am I the only one thinking that if 1L Fall is 100% online then we should have reduced tuition fees? ...I feel like our non-use of campus should be reflected in this at least by some amount!
    • I mean, basic research shows that McGill always takes their sweet time. I've made this rant before - people apply to McGill knowing that professors are personally reviewing every single application and considering every aspect, from grades, references, LSAT, CV and personal essay. The law fac has to follow deadlines for CEGEPers, mature students and regular applicants. All of this is done while simultaneously teaching, grading and doing research. Most profs don't have TAs doing it. Plus there is a pandemic. And McGill admin does suck. That's what happens with large research institutions - money is for research. Plus all the budget issues in QC.
