I received an email this morning informing me that I have been placed on the waitlist and asking me to confirm whether I'd like to keep my spot there. Like last year, they're not telling people where they rank on the list.

NL resident. PM me if you'd like to know my stats.

I also got that email today. Bummed that I can't know what position I am on the waitlist, as I'm supposed to sign a lease this week in Victoria. I would hold off if I thought I had a good chance, but I have no way of knowing.

Joined the waitlist yesterday and my status was updated today! Hopefully there’s some movement soon. 😁

There is a pile of waitlist emails that will be sent out next week. Just an FYI. Don’t lose hope and have a nice weekend.

Do you mean offers to join the waitlist? Or offers of admission to those on the waitlist? :)

How do you know? I still haven't had my status change beyond "Thank you for your completed application" so I'm hoping I'm one of those who gets an email next week if that's the case.

I was told this. I never post things unless it’s directly from a source in the admissions office. :) fingers crossed for you.

And your status will only change once you accept the offer of being added onto the waitlist via email. The waitlist is not ranked at this time. This is all that I was informed of today. Hope that helps!

I guess if it's not ranked yet, there's no reason to think that the handful of us who were waitlisted on the 17th will be higher on the list than those who haven't been emailed yet, huh?

Tbh I feel like they will go with the order that people were waitlisted in. But that’s my opinion and not rooted in fact, simply a gut feeling.

Yeah, that seems to be the pattern from previous years, I'm just trying not to get my hopes up.

I received the email asking me whether to join the waitlist last week. After some consideration I decided to withdraw my application.

Best of luck to everybody on the waitlist!

Got the email yesterday about joining the waitlist, so I guess they're still adding to it, which perhaps means there's some movement left. Does UNB release rankings for the waitlist?

They don't provide rankings, according the email I got.

Quote

Your application has been placed on the summer waitlist.  Applicants on the list will be contacted should a position become available for September 2019.  We are not providing waitlist position numbers.  When a seat becomes available, you will be contacted by e-mail.  Can you please confirm that you would like to remain on the waitlist?

If we do not hear from you, your application will be withdrawn.  All documents will be kept on file for one year should you wish to reapply next year.

I'm just wondering if the email you got was worded differently and if there might be hope of getting our rankings.

No there doesn't appear to be. The email I got was about if I wanted to join the waitlist, then on my file this morning it said pretty much what you just posted. Does anyone know how many people typically get accepted from the waitlist for UNB? I know their class size is smaller than other schools.

Offered to join the waitlist today, but have asked to have my application withdrawn as I have already accepted elsewhere, good luck to those still waiting!

Has anyone else not heard anything. No acceptance, decline or waitlist and it's mid-July?

    • I think I once passed through Saskatchewan by train, and I've flown over it a number of times. But seeing comment excerpts in the sidebar attracted me to this thread. I was just wondering why OP is so against a lunch break. If she doesn't want to eat lunch okay, but why should other people be denied the opportunity?! Eating in class is problematic for multiple reasons (sound, smell, sight, spring to mind). And what's wrong with having a day off in the middle of the week, in which she could study all day at home, sipping old fashioneds?
    • I scored a 156 on the July LSAT and I'm seriously considering canceling my score. My poor GPA doesn't help my situation either. I consistently scored between 152-162 on PT's. My list of schools I'd like to get into goes something like this; McGill, Calgary, Queens, Dalhousie, Windsor and then Western. Any input, advice or general help would be amazing for me as I'm struggling with this decision.
    • Okay, listen here, ass hat. I like to do my reading at home, the way I've been doing it for the past four years during my undergrad. Obviously it worked for me since I got into law school. I'm not interested in lugging my books all over Hell's half acre trying to find a quiet corner of the library or student lounge to read in when I can do it from the comfort of my couch with an old fashioned. Furthermore, I don't need someone to block out time in the middle of my day for me to do my readings since I'm a night owl as is. It would be much more productive for me, and undoubtedly others, if we could set our own schedules. By the way, the period goes inside of the quotation mark. Idiot.
