Thanks for everyone’s contribution to this thread and good luck! I hope everyone gets accepted and that we’ll get to meet in person at UBC.

@Kittycatmeow777 I have not contacted them, but based on previous years dates I am predicting that we may find out next week... if the pattern holds.

I think it is this week too because I emailed them and they said around June 17 (that is today)

Hey everyone, I just received an offer! B+ average, good ECs, and compassionate grounds.

I was put on the waitlist, and was told that if someone declined their offer I would be contacted. I don't know how realistic that is though.

Where are you hoping to transfer from?

I was put on the waitlist yesterday and was contacted today, I guess there is some movement.

Were you transferring through LOP? Or upper year transfer?

    • Hey thanks, same to you. Just wondering when you submitted cause I submitted around end of October so I'm assuming I would get an offer in January maybe? Not sure. You got any insight on that end?
    • Hey, you have the exact same LSAT as me and a pretty similar gpa! When I asked the same question I was told I was pretty much in without a doubt, so you would be in the same boat I imagine. Your index is in the 940’s it seems, so I think you’re pretty well set. Good luck to you.
    • I used my Dal email for OLSAS applications and Western’s email went straight up to the junk mail box. The email says I need to activate my western’s student center to receive future notifications. Dal what I can say 😂 (Don’t get me wrong, Dal’s great!)
    • With all the drops UVic gives, it might be closer to 3.85. Not sure how the whole auto admission index works... Just trying to see if I have a good chance. Thanks in advance
    • I am torn on who to ask for reference letters. All of the schools I am applying to require 2 reference letters. One must come from an academic source. I finished my undergraduate courses in December 2016. While I had many courses that I did really well in, I really did not get to know my professors (kicking myself right now for that - was mostly due to being very depressed). I want to know what the best way to approach a professor is, and is it totally inappropriate to be contacting someone who I did not get to know? Any advice is appreciated!
