Long time lurker and first time posting here as I finally have something to post about other than the LSAT

Waitlisted yesterday afternoon which honestly was very surprising as I was expecting a straight up rejection given my stats.

Technically a mature student with 5+ years as litigation paralegal

CGPA 2.92/4.3

L2/B2 3.28/4.3

LSAT 146/151/154 (Sept 2018)

Decent ECs and I presume slightly above average LORs. I guess they're truly a holistic school if they're still considering me despite my stats lol

Waitlisted today

L2: 3.63 cGPA: ~3.5

LSAT: 154, 156

Various exec committees during undergrad, teaching experience, worked throughout. Would like to say that I had great LORs and a well tailored PS but who really knows, haha!

I was waitlisted Jan 31st but just got bored enough to create an account.

L2 3.73

CGpa 3.23 (yikes I know)

LSAT 157

I thought it was a reach either way, wait list offer was a nice surprise. My LOR were pretty weak but ECs and PSE was pretty bang on.

    • Choosing a school/program specifically to minimize one's chances of getting rejected from law school is not worth it, in my opinion. OP, if you do plan on going into business at U of A though, you should still look into the various leadership opportunities, case competitions, internships, and possibly the PRIME Program. Not because U of A law would be impressed by them, but because undergrad should be much more than just a pre-law program.  That being said, discrete math might be a course you would be interested in since it can be helpful for the LSAT.
    • My OASIS updated on July 19th saying I’ve been removed from the waitlist due to accepting another offer. Bummed my Osgoode dreams are over but grateful to be going to law school. Wishing everyone still on the waitlist all the best  my fingers are crossed for you! Hopefully this opens another spot for you all.
