Received my offer today. Have an offer from Western as well and trying to decide which would be better. I'm also waiting to hear back from other schools.

LSAT: 162

cGPA: 3.84

Strong extra-curriculars, strong letters of reference, mediocre personal statement (I submitted it 10 minutes before the deadline).

I was accepted around Jan 9/10 and neglected to post until now!

cGPA: 3.85 according to OLSAS

L2: 3.89

ECs: so weak someone told me not to apply to law school 🤷‍♀️

Entirely undecided about what to do about accepting offers as of right now

Just got the offer!

Cgpa: 2.95

LSAT: 169

L2/B2: unsure but I think like 3.7-3.8

good PS because it helped explain some health problems which brought down my GPA, but weak ECs just some athletics and old volinteer experience

regular category

this is my first offer I'm so happy!

Accepted!

cGpa: 3.37

B2: 3.74

LSAT: 167

I'm really excited, wasn't sure I had a chance because everyone told me the school weighs GPA so heavily. I think my PS did a good job of explaining why my GPA was lower and I had decent ECs (volunteered throughout undergrad, played varsity soccer)

    • You are 100% for OZ, Western and Queens. Close to 100% for U of T
    • We have 5 courses at once this year, because some courses have been divided by term. But it's usually 7, so you could probably count on that next year. We probably only spend about 10 hours a week in lecture or tutorial. But this is not counting pre-recorded lectures, which vary quite a bit because the profs aren't really bound to a timeslot anymore. I would think like 15-18 hours would be normal for "in-class" at a normal time. I personally probably spend another 25 hours a week or so on top of that to do the readings and assignments, so pretty close to 40 hours on the whole, overall. I can't stree enough that this will really vary by individual. Some people don't feel the need to read most of the cases, so will definitely be less. I'm sure some also feel the need to re-read, consult more secondary sources, etc. There's certainly no way I could work while doing this, but I know that some of my classmates are doing it. It will really be down to your organizational skills as an individual! -GM
