Congratulations!! Still very impressive numbers! I guess the decisions are more holistic than I give them credit for. Either way we all must have impressed them in some way.

Congratulations to you too!!

Definitely weird to be accepted 2 weeks after applying...

Congratulations! What was your L2?

I believe Osgoode looks at your Best 2 instead, which was a 3.5

They look at your cGPA.

Congrats to everyone - and best of luck to everyone still waiting

Accepted on Friday (didn't realize until this morning)!

LSAT: 163

cGPA: 3.88

BA with double-honours. Excellent letters of recommendation & really competitive extracurriculars.

I almost thought it was a glitch because it came so early, but extremely grateful!

If anybody does not mind me asking, has anyone who's been accepted receive their OLSAS gpa on OLSAS itself yet?

Not sure if this topic is allowed in this thread (mods??) but I'll answer here for now. I haven't received my OLSAS GPA yet. I'm fairly sure I'm checking the right places for it, too. Academic background, transcripts, document tracking, and review and submit... nothing.

It's all good, I got approval from a mod.

Interesting, seems so early to be getting acceptances.

Congrats!!

Thanks :) I'm still in disbelief myself... but they have sent multiple correspondences so I'm finally starting to believe it's real. Lol. Hopefully next wave is soon!

I called OLSAS, they said that they expect GPA will be released by mid-December. Although, as we see with Osgoode, some schools just disregard the OLSAS GPA calculation and do their own.

Maybe they mean released to us because someone on another forum has already indicated that their MyWindsorU portal states their OLSAS GPA and @Ryn has indicated they use the OLSAS GPA.

You could be right! Maybe I misunderstood the OLSAS rep.
To be honest they are not the most communicative, they always sound like they just want you to shut up (likely because they do).

Okay, folks, any further discussion of OLSAS should be taken to PM or start another thread. Thanks.

    • We use iPads as secondary devices at the office, where they are great. Reviewing docs, reading reports, etc. But I can't imagine it being my only device, there's just too many limitations for situations like school where the technical parameters (and software used) are all over the place.
    • @student0033 lol i noticed u liked my comment, i hope u realize i was being sarcastic...
    • Certificate candidate. Nothing yet. 3.875/4.3
    • All my numbers are lower than yours and I'm in at Ryerson. My softs and past experience is a lot more diverse though, a lot of student leadership projects, managed a 6 figure budget from the provost of my university as an undergrad planning events, more vast experience in fine arts and in the curatorial field, had my own small business on the side, went full circle and mentored Indigenous youth through this business program that i did in high school, you get the picture. From what Ive read about applying to law school is they want future leaders who come from diverse backgrounds and life experience that they can contribute their unique lens into discussions. You can bypass all this by having good numbers but if you don't and are relying on your softs, i think you need to be showing actual passion and leadership for things that can be outside of law. Having a part time job during your undergrad isn't impressive (no offence) but is just kind of expected. If you have the money to be applying to every law school in the country i think you'd be better off just improving your LSAT and cracking 160.
    • Hi I’m an anglophone student and I was accepted! I passed the tfi exam in January but I was called to complete a written exam given by udem. I was accepted 2 weeks ago! So I don’t think they are waiting on the tfi to accept or refuse candidates
