I have firmly accepted this offer, which I received via phone call, over Queens!

Good luck everyone, PM me if you got any questions!

Will be withdrawing from the class as I got off the waitlist closer to home! Just wanted to give someone a bit of hope as a seat will be coming available :)

    • 165+ Your GPA is low for UVIC
    • Hello! I was looking for some information/opinions/thoughts on attending a lower T14 American Law school as an international student versus attending UofT. It seems that existing threads on this topic are with T6 American schools, so HYSCCN and the general view is they beat UofT.  However what about lowerT14 schools? Like Penn, or Michigan or Georgetown? T6 is a bit of a reach for me, so my real choice is between the bottom 8 and UofT. Has anyone else faced this same decision?  Location is not too important to me, I wouldn't mind practicing in Toronto or New York. I understand that tuition is a huge factor, but from what I've read, UofT is overpriced for what it offers, so I'm willing to take on larger debt to attend the US, especially with a higher earning potential and ability to pay it back afterwards. However, if anyone also has resources for financial aid for international students, that would also be helpful! Does anyone also have any resources/information on working in the US as a non-citizen? If I graduate an American law school, is it guaranteed that I can work at a firm in the US?   Thanks! Super keen to hear your thoughts
    • The request has to be made through OLSAS’s website. They’ll auto update it when they receive and process the transcripts. Then they’ll forward it to schools automatically.
    • Yeah i will be applying to Norton, McCarthy, BCF and other Quebec firms as well. But since i wanted to practice in Montreal (I grew up there), I don't know how easy it would be to transfer from Quebec to Montreal in the future (If i have the chance of being accepted of course). Thanks for your answer!
