Is Anyone's Application Still Under Pending?

Recommended Posts

Don’t bother checking SOLUS obsessively. Queen’s is on the ball about sending emails basically as you get the offer (unlike Western…)

Just called queens because I was worried about not hearing back before the June 3rd date when provisional offers turn firm and they advised that everyone should receive a decision before the third and they always fill their class before then, so there’s something I guess!

I'm still pending as well.

I had emailed admissions to inquire mid may and this was their response:

Your application will remain pending until a final decision is made on your file. We are still sending out offers and will continue to do so until our class is full. We typically fill the last seats in our class in early to mid-June. Unfortunately, we do not release any information on current rankings. Everyone will receive a final decision via email, by the end of the application process.

Same here - has anyone sent an email to admissions to inquire by chance?

I inquired a while ago and got no response. Someone earlier in the thread said July 3rd would be a date to know by.

July 3rd is the date all provisionals go firm, and applications to other school get withdrawal automatically if you’re in at least 1 place (in Ontario). So if you’re provisional at Western, for example, and on July 3rd still have no response from a Queens, you automatically go firm at western and your application is withdrawn from Queens. So in the month of June they’ll send out a few offers, try to ensure a full class. But as of July 3rd, they’ll know exactly how many spots are full, and how many applicants they have left who have not received other law acceptances. They may be left with a very few places, and they can send offers or accordingly

    • I'm still "Referred Admissions Committee" and have been since likely mid-March. Looking at the Accepted Thread it seems things have been generally pretty slow this year (which makes sense, it's a wild time) and that there hasn't yet been that mass wave of acceptances (like what Queen's had a few days ago and Western today). Is that what all of you are thinking who've applied to Windsor or did I just miss the wave.  I noticed the last two acceptances have just be a person here or there (mind you obviously not everyone who applies is on this forum), and because I am a creep I counted at least 9-10 people who have been given acceptances early all "likely going to decline". Just speculation but hopefully that helps those on the waitlist and those still referred.  Has anyone gotten any updates from the adcom?
    • Long time lurker. Accepted today!!!!!! cGPA 3.55 L2  3.86 LSAT 158 Weak softs, Strong personal statement (I think) For those still waiting, don't lose hope.  All the best.
    • If you make it into LSB I look forward to ruining your weekends and evenings with rush requests for opinions.
    • On another note...what a B-E-A-Utiful day to wait... thought it was Canada Day long weekend for a minute there sitting in the front yard listening to the neighbour bumping tunes. Makes me grateful my biggest issue in the midst of all this Coronamess is in the hands of a committee and completely out of my until-today-sun-deprived-Mitts! A big thank you to all front-line health care workers.   Happy Weds. Everyone!
    • I also think the admissions committee will see you raising two children as a huge plus and a great representation of hard work and dedication. Don't worry too much about EC's, being a mom with a full-time job will show a lot more about you than picking up a random EC now ! Good luck
