LSAT material - Powerscore trilogy and workbooks

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I wanted to know if any of you are selling your powerscore bible trilogy (a recent edition) with the workbooks and pretests. I am a broke uni student so cant buy the $170 package from amazon. I live in toronto, so if anyone near that area wants to sell me their books please let me know. Thank you!

You can probably find them on Craigslist. Older editions (3 years old) wouldn't hurt since the test doesn't change much year-to-year.

Hopefully I’m not too late but I highly recommend The LSAT Trainer over PS books. It is also much cheaper (like $50ish)? It contains all three sections in one book as opposed to three different books like PS.

    • If it's a big group dinner with everyone in-firming, then I think you could maybe get away with not going - just say you are already committed at that time but make sure you express interest in a second interview or otherwise coming back to the firm to meet more people.   If it's a dinner that's just you and a couple of the firms lawyers, then I would try to at least reschedule to a Tuesday dinner or lunch or coffee.   Maybe it is different in Toronto, but my Vancouver friends who flat out declined invitations to small dinners did not get offers from those firms, even though they were highly sought after top candidates. Which seems fair to me.
    • Try for a lunch, perhaps? If you turn down a dinner and the opportunity to meet more members of the firm, while many others have accepted that dinner, then your chances are likely going to be affected negatively. I don't think that should be a surprise to anyone.
    • Hi all, I come from a percentage school and am trying to calculate my L2 U of A GPA. U of A doesn't seem to have a conversion table available on their admissions site. So far I've found this: https://www.ualberta.ca/registrar/examinations/assessment-and-grading/grade-comparison-guide Does anyone here know how to convert their transcript to U of A's scale? Thanks
    • Yes, I'd recommend submitting your application at least a few days before the deadline for the reasons you outlined. (I didn't follow my own advice and I submitted it on October 31. Fortunately, I didn't have any problems.) According to the OLSAS FAQ, there should be a "Document Tracking" feature in your account where you can track which transcripts and other documents have been received and processed. https://www.ouac.on.ca/faq/documents-in-support-at-the-ouac/
    • Some other schools do. Saskatchewan gives points for a connection to Saskatchewan, and Dalhousie and UNB have regional preferences for maritime students.
