received confirmation of acceptance email?

Recommended Posts

I provisionally accepted my offer to queen's a couple of days ago (selecting that I would still like to be considered for osgoode) but I just received an email from queens that congratulates me for confirming my acceptance. I've looked on OASIS and I appear to still be in queue - so as far as I'm aware I havent yet been rejected from osgoode. Does this mean that my decision has been made for me? or possibly that a rejection from osgoode is forthcoming?

I would definitely appreciate any insights on this.

I feel like Queen's just sent that email because you provisionally accepted. As long as it shows a provisional acceptance on OLSAS you are fine.

Thanks! Does Queens send out an acceptance e-mail? I see the offer on SOLUS and through OLSAS but have not received an e-mail direct from queens for about a week

Yeah I got one, maybe email them if you haven’t gotten one by next week

Same thing just happened to me and I remembered this thread... provisionally accepted Queen's, indicated that I still want to be considered for Osgoode and Western, and they just sent me an email "confirming" my acceptance... kinda odd.

    • I am still waiting for mine to update as well!
    • If you turn "aiming" into actual grades and LSAT score then yes, I absolutely think you should apply. Hell, you should apply even with a lower LSAT. You have a decent B2 and adding a decent LSAT (I'd say 160+) would give you a shot at a handful of schools, even if not a great shot.
    • Maybe try searching for Class profiles of each of the law schools you’re interested in.    I think you can track down some Info from the past years that includes GPA and LSAT scores, as well as a lot of other data.    Not sure if that’s what you’re looking for, but hope it helps
    • Definitely but it also depends on when references and transcripts arrived which may also have been delayed by Canada Post (depends how your uni and referees submitted their reference). They have your application and your fee so I'm sure they have your file, but just working through the mountain of work. Plus, due to COVID-19, they likely do not have easy access to their offices/mail this year and working remotely slows everything down. Patience is key, don't read into others' application dates.
    • There are thousands of applications to sort through and only so many people on the admissions team. Factor in covid-19 and remote working and most admissions offices are incredibly backed up right now. I'm sure you'll hear back in due time, offers have just barely started rolling out! 🙂
