Under Evaluation since November 17th

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm starting to wonder if I should be losing my mind as I've been under evaluation for months or if this means anything for my chances.

Stats: Cgpa 3.76, b2, 3.81, LSAT 161.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I've also been under evaluation since november or early december (can't remember) but with your stats I wouldn't worry too much. I think you will definitely get in to Ottawa

That is reassuring! Thank you!

Don't worry. This it not uncommon. January is considered early in the cycle.

You have a good chance of getting in. It is simply a waiting game at this point.

Great stats, just accept that the process is out of your hands at this point. Check back every few days. Good luck!

Now my file says "Last Update: January 31, 2018" but it still says under evaluation?

    • Does anyone know if there is a Facebook group for Dual JD students? I found one that has 6 people in it but I wasn't sure if it was the right one. I've been waiting weeks to get accepted into it. If not, would anyone be interested in starting one? I would really like to start connecting with everyone before the Fall semester.
    • I cycle alot, I absolutely love it. I try to do about 300km a week. However, I still haven't been able to kick some of the bad stuff in my diet. I'm still eating a lot of sugary and processed foods. The exercise isn't a problem, but the diet has been very difficult to phase out.
    • Not sure which part of my post you’re asking about but copied from the u of t tumblr: In general, for candidates already in a healthy percentile range (85th and higher) who re-write, tend to only score 2-3 points higher on their raw scores, which doesn’t normally represent a significant increase in the performance,  Again, by definition, half of the admits will always score lower than the median, therefore a re-write may not be worth the effort and expense.  If you were referring to my lsats being similar not being the reason for me being on the wait list, then yes this is only my assumption. While I do think my personal statement/ecs are strong (IMO), neither my gpa or lsat are competitive for u of t even if I had just written once and scored the 162. My point is that based on numbers alone u of t already has sufficient reason to not accept me. If they were that bothered by my lsat scores I probably wouldn’t be on the waitlist.
