Question re L2 and B2

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

What is L2 and B2? And what are the chances of getting accepted when applying in 4th year (not yet gradated) - would it be better to graduate first, and then apply?

Thanks!!

L2 refers to your last 2 full-time years of undergraduate study. B2 refers to the best two full-time years of undergraduate study. Some schools place emphasis on the last two years of grades in evaluating applicants (e.g. Western, Queen's), but UofT does not. If you visit the faculty website, they describe their application review process in depth.

Generally speaking, having simply graduated before applying is not, in and of itself, an advantage for admissions purposes. A number of accepted students are applicants in their fourth year of undergrad. That said, whether it is better to graduate before applying depends on your particular circumstances.

L2 and B2 are explained above.

It would be beneficial to wait until graduation only if your gpa improves with the inclusion of your marks from fourth year.
