  3. Congrats!! Also, I'm so glad I'm not the only nurse heading to law school😆😆 good luck on the TEF exam, let us know how it goes:)
  4. Hi there, I apologize for my late reply. Thank you so much for your message, I really appreciate it! I'll keep in mind to explore my other interests and not limit myself to what I know. Thanks again
  5. Did you end up finding a place to stay? I currently rent my own apartment in Montreal but that'll be impossible to afford once I start school in September so I'm also looking for a cheaper place or a place to share with roommates (other law students🤞). I've been looking on www.kijiji.ca but so far everything I'm finding is for now and not July or September. The struggles of going back to school at 30 are real 🤯
  6. Hello:) Did you end up applying to law school? I'm 30 and also changing careers so I'm glad I'm not the only one haha I think UQAM gives the option for students that work to do their degree part-time. At Udem, you have to do your first year full-time but you can ask a special permission to study part-time after that: https://admission.umontreal.ca/programmes/baccalaureat-en-droit/reglements/ As for the JD, you can do it part-time or full-time at Udem https://admission.umontreal.ca/programmes/juris-doctor-common-law-nord-americaine/ Cheers,
  7. Hello he4dhuntr Thank you so much for taking the time to answer the questions here! I've been accepted into law school at UdeM last week but I haven't accepted my offer yet. I have a nursing and public health background and my main interests are related to public health law, healthcare policy, medical malpractice, injuries, etc. Have you come across people with a similar background and do you know if that will give me an advantage when I start looking for a job? I'm also a bit older than your regular student fresh out of college and frankly, I'm a bit scared that it might affect my chances of finding a decent job once I'm done (I'm about to turn 31). If you do know of people that have worked in that branch of the law, could you tell me more specifically what kind of work they do? I realize my questions are pretty specific so I understand if you're unable to give me an answer. PS: I have other interests totally unrelated to health, such as patent, trademark, copyright law, real estate, etc. BUT considering my background, I guess it would make more sense to stick to what I know? 🤷‍♀️ Thanks in advance!
  8. J'ai reçu ma lettre officielle d'admission à minuit!! bonne chance à tous
