  1. Accepted a couple of days ago. cGPA 3.38 B2 3.78 or so, LSAT 161 Good luck to everyone still waiting!
  2. Hello everyone, I find myself in the fortunate situation of having been accepted to my top two schools and will now have to decide between one or the other. As I am sure many of you here once were, I am not 100% sure of what sort of law I would ultimately want to practice but I do know that I would love to work with/for the government. In what capacity, I am not sure. Now, I am well aware of the so-called "Ottawa edge" of UOttawa with its proximity to our federal institutions, but quite a few things about the school push me away from making this decision an easy one. That is: First and foremost, the lack of articles, or at least, what I have heard about how difficult it is to find an article. Queen's has a placement rate of about 96.5%. I am not sure about the rate for UOttawa; Class size. That one seems pretty obvious to me; Questionable administration. From what I have heard/read on this website, the administration seems to be somewhat disorganized leaving students with little support. What is pushing me more toward Queen's would be: The smaller class size; Clinics (I know UOttawa also has amazing clinics); The administration seems to be seriously engaged with the students; Queen's seems to place rather well in Ottawa. All this said, am I crazy for even questioning this and not immediately accepting UOttawa? Any thoughts/comments/advice would be greatly welcomed. Thank you all in advance!
  3. @positivelylawstreet Unfortunately, that's what I'm thinking too. At least we're in!
  4. Hey everyone, During the Welcome Day event this past Sunday, one of the speakers (Andrew, I believe) mentioned that we should be receiving emails this week regarding scholarships/awards/financial assistance. Has anyone received anything so far?
  5. Ah! That's awesome! Congratulations!
  6. Accepted today via email!! cGPA 3.38 B2 3.78 or so LSAT 161 Applied under Access.
  7. Hey @MMlawyer, do you happen to know when your application was referred to AdCom? Thanks in advance!
  8. I apologize. L2 is 3.38, hence the Access/Performance categories for then.
  9. Hey everyone! I started a similar thread at the Osgoode forum page but thought I would get some feedback here as well. Pretty self-explanatory. I thought that I would add, however, that I underwent significant trauma on what was supposed to be my last year of school due to the sudden death of a very close friend. I ended up dropping 4/10 courses and coming back for a 5th year to finish outstanding courses. I have applied on access/special circumstance categories where I explained what took place in further detail and the upward trajectory of my marks from 1st year to 4th. I was curious on what you guys thought in terms of chances. Any feedback would be appreciated even on other ON schools and/or McGill. Happy holidays and thanks in advance!
  10. Makes sense! What do you think are the chances at other ON schools? Say UWO, Queens, UO, or Windsor.
