  1. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this, this is extremely helpful for me (and hopefully others)!
  2. I am not from the Vancouver area and feel unfamiliar with the firms in the city. I have done my research on them (as much as you can from a website) and have reached out to a number of individuals at the firms. Hoping that people on this forum might be able to offer some insight on their subjective perspectives on (but not limited to) the following firms. Not looking for answers on who is the "best" just what your general thoughts/opinions/feelings are towards these firms (feel free to add any extras I missed). Thanks! Alexander Holburn Oyen Wiggs Harper Grey Young Anderson Guild Yule Miller Titerle Lawson Lundell BJs Gowling (please feel free to add what you like)
  3. The 2L Calgary recruit is being held entirely online this fall. All we know is that OCIs will be virtual (Zoom or Webex). Obviously, this is a new and uncertain process for both students and firms. U of C did an opt-in pass/fail system and U of A did mandatory pass/fail. Going into it, there are concerns about how applications will be assessed, the ability to get to know the firms only through a computer screen, and if there will be any in person opportunities between OCIs and call day (I understand firms are also worried about a lot of this). Just wondering if anyone has any insight or advice going through this process. Have you heard anything about how firms will be approaching the online recruit and/or any advice on how to stand out. Thanks!
