Hey all, I failed a ton of courses in my first year at UBC. I've been working on getting my grades up, but I calculated and the highest my overall GPA (with drops) will ever get is around 78%. By going all out and getting somewhat lucky, I scored 172 on the LSAT. Unfortunately, I used the index calculator and my index score would only be 91.64, which is below the generally accepted safe acceptance threshold. While I don't have any remarkable extracurriculars, I have medical documentation proving that I have had severe depression and anxiety since 2016. Will I be able to get in via discretionary applications?Despite my lack of extracurriculars, will I be able to edge out the rest of the discretionary candidates through my LSAT and GPA alone?
