  1. Accepté 23 Avril MPC: 3.23 (OLSAS)
  2. Hey there! I applied around the same time as you and still haven't heard anything yet aka "under evaluation" but I did reach out by email asking when could I expect an answer and I was told the following: "Due to the rolling nature of the admission process, it is possible to hear back at any point during the spring. All applicants can expect to hear a decision on their file by late spring, but those who are placed on the waitlist may be admitted from it during the summer, depending on space in the class."
  3. You're absolutely right! I sent an email asking about the rolling basis and first come first serve and this is the response I received: "Thank you for your interest in our program. Neither is really true - we have begun assessing files, but are aware of the number of applications we normally receive, and will not over-admit to the point where later applications (submitted at the end of the month) will be prejudiced." Hope this helps for anyone who had similar concerns!
  4. Is acceptance to the French section done on a rolling basis? As in first come first serve? Because some people have been getting accepted as early as January while the deadline is in April?
  7. Hello there, I would love to get the opportunity to speak to someone who is currently a student at l'Universté de Moncton law school. Living in NB/Moncton, courseload, francophonie, application process, really anything. Feel free to PM me, I would really appreciate it, thank you in advance.
  8. How difficult would it be to find work in Ontario, most specifically in the GTA/Toronto while attending Université de Moncton (summers and after grad)?
  9. I was given the opportunity to have a feedback session with an admission officer once they have finalized the 2020-2021 class. Does anyone have any experience with them? What type of questions should I be asking? Is there any way I could prepare myself. I want to make sure I am taking full advantage of this opportunity. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  10. I'm planning on raising my GPA for the next admission cycle and was looking for some advice. Would it be better to retake a course I did poorly in or just take new courses? I believe OLSAS takes into account all courses taken, which makes me question if repeating courses is the best option? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
  11. Thank you very much for the advice! Will definitely take this opportunity to come back stronger for the next admission cycle
  12. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it I think I'll use this year to work and take on extra classes to boost my GPA up for the next cycle.
  13. Common Law JD - French Section Just got rejected. CGPA: 3.01 Category: General but with Special Circumstances Letters from two of my profs, excellent EC's (in my opinion)

  15. Oh my bad! My friend is a 2L at uOttawa in the Common Law English Section and she had passed that news on to me. Thank you for the clarification
  16. uOttawa Common Law programs have sent an email making it official that the fall 2020 semester will be done completely online.
  17. Hey there! Congratulations, I'm super happy for you! I saw you posting frequently about feeling nervous and extremely proud of you. Hopefully, I could join you September
  18. I may be wrong, but I believe it's been mentioned several times in this forum (including by the mods) that your submission day has no correlation with decision dates.
  19. Congratulations! I'm still under review but I put a huge emphasis on my ECs in my ps and how that directly ties in with my interest in public law.
  20. Hello everyone! I'm sure many of us including myself are feeling anxious about the waiting game. Here's a quick update for those still waiting that have applying to the french section of the common law program as well as the PDC. I emailed the faculty this morning asking when could I expect an answer and received the following answer: "Car la date limite pour soumettre votre demande aux programmes en français était le 2 mars, le processus d'évaluation commence plus tard dans le cycle d'admission. Veuillez noter que nous faisons tout notre possible pour maintenir nos opérations normales malgré la situation liée au COVID-19. Puisque nos processus d’admission opèrent de façon continue, il est possible de recevoir des nouvelles à n'importe quel moment au courant de l’été. Tous les candidats peuvent s’attendre à une réponse d’ici le mois de juin. Cependant, ceux qui seront mis sur la liste d’attente pourraient être admis pendant l’été, en fonction des places disponibles." Good luck everyone
  21. I also applied to the PDC and my application is still under evaluation on uozone. Good luck!
  22. Is there a deadline to accept your Civil Law offer? Because if it isn't anytime soon, I'd probably just wait it out until you hear back from PDC. I doubt your PDC application has been cancelled/affected in any way because of it. If you want a little peace of mind, you should send them an email (or call, but the hold times are insane with uOttawa). Good luck
