    Tuition Hikes

Do you know that amount for sure? Someone in another thread said they asked the school and it would only be a few hundred dollars per year as an increase.

    Entrance scholarships

In the same boat as you but a lower GPA, if you don't end up with something there is no hope for people like me.

    Entrance scholarships

Did you ask or they just let you know? Guessing if I didn't get an email I won't be getting any money ☚ī¸

Without sounding rude I would classify these as regular ECs, especially for the access category where many applicants will have owned businesses, had significant life experience, have been a refugee etc. Additionally based on the website 15% of JD students at Queen's are ESL, so that by itself won't really help you. Your LSAT is also very low, in the 33rd percentile. To be blunt your chances are extremely slim.

    Entrance scholarships

Did anyone with an acceptance who applied for funding get any scholarship information in their letter of offer?
  7. In today 3.9 with drops 165 LSAT. No mention of funding.

    Any news?

Anyone else feel like today will be the day? Last Friday in January, which is when offers are supposed to go out according to the website.

10% tuition cut at Ontario law schools?

HS is the one that matters. Under the old system anyone going straight into a JD after undergrad would be evaluated on their own income, and get more grants/funding due to a (probably) lower income than their parents. The new system means that the first 2 years of a JD for this hypothetical student will now see their funding based off of parental income, and supposed proportional contributions. This really dings students with middle class parents who don't contribute to fund the education of their "children" anymore (aka 23 y/o son or daughter).

    Did you graduate before 2014?

10% tuition cut at Ontario law schools?

I ran the calculator as soon as the announcement went live. It appears they have since taken it down, probably so people can't figure out how deeply screwed they are now.

    Official Transcript Deadline?

Don't need to send official transcripts until you get an offer.

10% tuition cut at Ontario law schools?

Glad we sort of agree then, unfortunately this plan does not balance out the cuts to grants with correlated increases to loans.

10% tuition cut at Ontario law schools?

You would get a loan of around 7k but no grants. Depends on how much more than 140k your parents make.
