  1. so is this a thing, where you have to actually request being put on the waitlist? i thought they would just put you on there regardless. (genuinely asking)
  2. It says on their website that 2nd year applicants must have an Lsat above 90th percentile so if they were assessed as a 2nd year applicant it’s not really a shocker
  3. To reinforce the idea that redoing the lsat may be more beneficial: I got in this year with a 3.6 ish and a 163!
  4. I actually emailed them earlier and they responded with this “ We will take care of your enrollment and registration for first-year courses. We will communicate with you in the summer regarding your class schedule. Additionally, students attending law school in September 2019 will receive a monthly newsletter or email summary with information regarding attending law school, preparing yourself for law school, and other useful items such as finances and student groups. That will start circulating in mid-to-late May. Have a great day, “
  5. I had a viewing here because I was considering moving out. It’s quite nice!
  6. I got a reply when I sent the confirmation email and a few days later beartracks updated to reflect $-500 in my financials section
  7. I would avoid the north side in general, especially anywhere around 118th Avenue. it depends on what preferences you have in relation to your distance from the U, the type of vibe you want around your place, etc. pm me if you wanna talk!
  8. I'd make it but i hate facebook and everything about it. twitter is where the memes are made
  9. This is what I was thinking and was confused by what else they could be communicating
  10. Explain? I think I’ve missed something
  11. I’d be curious to know the yield on 2nd round offers. Maybe they do the welcome prior to the acceptance deadline for first round because those people have been accepted to multiple schools and have a lower chance of picking u of a whereas maybe they typically see a high yield with their 2nd round offers and don’t see the need to woo them into accepting. Complete speculation on my part though
  12. hey thanks! didn’t realize they already had the upcoming years class times up. That has the side benefit of being able to search each prof on ratemyprof.com 😂
  13. thanks! how did you find your timetable? manageable? no 8am's?
  14. when are timetables typically available for us to look at? is it usually in august or what? I'm trying to decide what kind of availability I'll be able to give to my boss. thanks!
  15. But wait. 2nd round offers are a thing so why do you think it’s over for you! It’s not over till it’s over 🤪
  16. If you have 3.6/161 and the formula they used was the 22* GPA+ LSAT the auto admit is a 240 not 242. so your acceptance isn’t wholly out of left field
  17. I mean they probably do. That’s just the basic principle of competitive admissions
  18. absolutely. I dealt with my rep thru email (he was in calgary) when i thought I would be attending UofC but i changed my mind to the UofA and that was no problem at all.
  19. makes sense thanks! Since you certainly know more about this i guess I'll go ahead and ask you. do you think if i was to draw on that LOC now, even though technically i shouldnt be able to, would that be a problem? i certainly dont anticipate using it, but in case of emergency.
  20. Just a reminder that the index is speculative in that someone kinda figured it out based on the admitted gpa/lsat profile. It’s not confirmed by the university so when you see discrepancies between your index and a lower one, just know this may be a time when that index doesn’t hold up, and try not to stress overly hard about it or come to concrete conclusions about it either! Good luck to you all
  21. Sorry I’m not sure nope their waitlists are separate
  22. Yep. and March 31 was my deadline
  23. just wanted to clarify that I’m not arguing that I know better than you, just that I guess I’m not the only one who’s rep messed up 😅
