  1. Any Canadian students here that studied at a US law school? I would really appreciate your input on any challenges you faced getting jobs during the summer!
  2. Accepted this morning! cgpa: 3.3 LSAT: 172 mature student, lots of non-legal work experience, filled out part B good luck to everyone else!
  3. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has seen these stats get in under Mature students category at U of T?
  4. They are still waiting on feb LSAT scores so won’t be able to give me a number until after that...
  5. I didn’t clarify that...from what it sounds like this was solely based on my index score
  6. called the admissions office to find out my status and found out that I’ll be waitlisted til the summer months, anyone else in the same boat? cGPA confirmed: 79.49 LSAT: 167 index ~ 91.05
  7. Thanks for the thorough breakdown! I did the ferry and seaplane trips back and forth when I was a student and found that the seaplanes were significantly better. Do you know if they still operate during the winter/ really harsh weather?
  8. It sounds like your home was in Victoria? I will be living in a studio in Victoria so I will hopefully be doing the groceries/cooking/cleaning in my home in Vancouver. I did 6 months of internship when I was a pharmacy student in Victoria, and I would just split the food I cooked in Vancouver and pack the remainder for Victoria. I completed my 4 year professional degree, worked every weekend while taking my grandmother to appointments and attending to other duties. Of course I understand the challenges of having to do all that now in a different city, but I have to make the most of the time I have while being able to attend to all my duties.
  9. Thanks so much! I just hope to get a better understanding of what I’m getting into so this is great. congrats on getting in!
  10. Hi all, I was accepted to the class of 2021 and I'm stoked to begin my first year as a law student! My only concern is my family- I'm very close with them and I'm responsible for taking my aging grandmother to her appointment so ideally I would like to spend my weekends in Vancouver. Has anyone attempted this? Is this feasible if I wish to return home every weekend? I will just be staying home and spending time with family, so i will still be able to study, but I'm not sure if the commute alone would take a toll on my well-being. Thank you in advance!
  11. Hi all, first time poster here. I'm excited to be accepted to Uvic Law for the upcoming fall and finally begin my legal education after 4 years of full time work. I was wondering if anyone would recommend pre-reading before classes start? My fiancee is living in a different city and my goal is to ultimately transfer to his city, so I would definitely want my GPA to be maintained high enough for that option to be feasible. Are there any textbooks / materials anyone would recommend reviewing? Thanks a lot in advance!
