  1. It's an estimate. You can use this as a reference point: https://www.queensu.ca/studentawards/costs
  2. Just an FYI, Queen's has been raising tuition every year for the past couple, so it's more like 21k now. A fair portion of students at Queen's are from out west. We seem to place pretty well in Van/Cal recruits (I remember the careers office telling me the number is around 50% of students who apply get offers in Vancouver/Calgary for the formal 2L summer recruit alone - but you may want to double check this number yourself if this is a concern). As for living in Kingston, people are mixed. Would I want to live here forever? No. But for a university town, it's a pretty cool place to live. It's nice being on the waterfront, there are lots of restaurants/bars, everything is walking distance (if you live in the vicinity of the school, which most people do), beautiful campus, etc. I would echo the thoughts above about law school being a jurisdictional decision, but these are just a few things to consider. Good luck!
  3. Sure. Notice the bold heard through the grapevine?
  4. I heard through the grapevine that someone received a rejection email from Blaneys today. Apparently the email said that all of their offers had gone out.
  5. Perhaps they meant decisions for individuals who interviewed on Friday? I know for a fact that this person received an offer, but I believe they interviewed earlier on in the week. Anyways, best of luck to you.
  6. The Blaneys person had an interview on Wednesday and heard on Friday afternoon. The WeirFoulds person also heard on Friday (but I'm not sure when they interviewed).
  7. For anyone who is wondering, job offers at Blaneys and WeirFoulds have gone out. I can't speak to whether or not they are finished hiring. Best of luck to those of you still waiting to hear!
