  1. I'm in 1L at Western and liking it but am missing living in a city and know I want to live and work in Toronto when I graduate. Anyone have any opinions/experiences on transferring to UofT in 2L - worth it or not?
  2. Thanks for the insights on the states, I definitely will look into it more. Would you guys say that the placement rates at both schools are similar? Does one have an advantage anywhere over the other? Like Bay St, national reach etc?? @CoffeeandLaw Why did you choose Queens?
  3. Hi, I know this thread has been created before and I have looked through all of that already. I am looking for any opinions on which school has better placement rates with respect to jobs and articling positions. My biggest deciding factor is to go to whichever school will help me get the best job. I am interested in Business Law but also want to be able to practice law in NY - does either school have a tie to American legal studies? Or classes that help you to prepare for the NY State Bar? Or do most graduates stay in Ontario (Bay St)? Any insights are much appreciated! Thanks!
  4. Does anyone know the timeline of when McGill stops accepting? I have had "Ready to Review" since December... stressed Is it a bad sign I'm not waitlisted yet? Or a good one? If anyone has any advice/insight it would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  5. Any thoughts on how these two stack up against each other? I'm Canadian but would be ok working anywhere. I know it may be easier to stay in Canada with Western for a job in Canada after, but going to live in the UK especially London sounds amazing! Thanks in advance for the help/responses!
  6. Hi all, I am still waiting to hear back from McGill and was wondering if anyone knew what their timing for admissions decisions looks like. Do they continue admitting students into May/August? Or do they simply put you on the waitlist? Any info on the timing would be really helpful - thanks in advance!

  8. Hi everyone! I am accepted for Western next year and since I am coming out of province I think it will be easier for me to live on campus? Does anyone have any good suggestions as to where is best on campus? London Hall or maybe the apartments? I definitely want to be in a quieter place with either upper year or other grad students. Would love to hear any suggestions! Thanks in advance!:)
  9. Accepted today! Very excited! 3.5 CGPA 157 LSAT Strong EC's/Resume etc.
  10. That's great to hear! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. About when did you hear back from admissions??
  11. Thanks!! I hope McGill agrees!! I'm waiting for this cycle.
  12. I'm a Three-Time All-American NCAA Athlete, and I have won numerous awards/tournaments/recognition for my achievement in athletics and academics. I'm hoping that they will take into account the difficulty of achieving my athletic accomplishments while I was completing a degree, but I'm not sure if it will have that much weight.
  13. Any ideas of my chances?? I have very strong EC's and references. I also went to French Immersion so I would be ok with the french requirement. Thanks!!
  14. I applied to UBC, UVIC, Dal, Queens, Western, Mcgill and U of A. Any ideas on my chances and/or timing? Thanks!!
  15. Keeping my fingers crossed that no news is good news, but I am wondering if anyone has gotten a formal rejection yet?? When do those usually start coming out? Thanks!!
