  1. Has anyone done a student-proposed internship with a government department in Ottawa? Looking for one for this summer. If you would be willing to share the contact info (via PM) of a previous supervisor to contact that would be very useful. Tips on finding government SPIs would also be useful. Also, less likely but I'll put it out there, if anyone knows any government lawyers willing to be a supervisor for a student-proposed internship I would be interested in discussing it over PM. For those who do not know about uOttawa's student-proposed internship program, here is a link explaining it: https://commonlaw.uottawa.ca/en/students/student-centre/course/internships/faq
  2. I'm very comfortable in french. I speak english and french at home, and have always worked and studied in both languages. It's part of the reason why I'm interested in either uOttawa or McGill. Transsystemia does seem genuinely interesting to me and I'm completely fine with the extra time it will add on for my degree. I do some volunteering with a non-profit but not much else for extra-curriculars. For references, I admittedly have not asked for any yet, but there are several professors that I have good relationships with that I'm confident would give me strong references. One hesitation I do have about McGill is that I'm from Ottawa and will likely return and look for employment there after I have completed my degree. If I were to manage to get into McGill, how much harder might it be to find a job in Ottawa compared to if I had gone to uOttawa?
  3. Hi everyone, I got my LSAT score back today and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what my admission prospects might be with a 3.77 GPA and a 159 LSAT. I'm mainly interested in uOttawa and McGill, but I'm also looking at Queens and Osgoode. My LSAT score is a little lower than I was hoping for, during my practice tests I was consistently getting between 161 and 163. Would it be worth it to rewrite? Edit: also, if you don't count my grades in first year, my GPA is 3.86. I'm not sure how much of a difference that would make, if any.
