I'd be grateful to any current students for any advice/information you might have about work experience during the summers of law school.
Assuming it takes 4 years to complete a degree (not sure if that is common or not...), how many of the 3 summers of law school should be devoted to legal-ish work to still have a chance at any type of job upon graduation?
I ask because my part-time work will require 2 full summers of training, from May - August. Essentially what I'm getting at is: if I work in a non-legal field for the summers after first and second year and then move on to more legal-related work after third year, would I be shooting myself in the foot for the future?
