  1. Hello everyone! I, too, spoke with Saif Shaker at Scotiabank in Scarborough, ON. He was amazing and really helped me through the process. I told him about my financial situation and he did his best and provided me with a plan that best met my needs. Plus, the entire process happened so fast that I had my amount ready for me to use in less than a week. I definitely recommend him to others and I suggest if you're thinking of opening a student LOC, Scotiabank is definitely the bank of choice and Saif is definitely your guy. If you have further questions about my process, feel free to PM me.
  2. Hey I think your chances are decent. I got in this cycle with a 3.5 cGPA, 3.8 L2 (last 2 years of undergrad) and a 158 LSAT. Both your LSAT and cGPA are higher than mine so you'll likely get in. Good luck
  3. Hey guys! Just a heads up that 1L Fall 2017 schedule is now posted on SOLUS.
  4. Hey everyone, sort of a random question. Can law students join undergrad clubs?
  5. Thanks a lot to all of you for your responses. So I guess I have nothing to worry about. I was scared that studying at Queen's instead of, say Oz or UofT, might lower my employability because I won't be in Toronto per se. But this makes me feel better. Thanks guys!
  6. Hey everyone! I'm a Torontonian who'll be attending Queen's Law in the fall. I wish to go back to Toronto during the summer and work there, preferably in law firms or any other legal field. My question is, does anyone have any experience studying at Queen's but working in Toronto during the summer? In addition, does anyone have any experience going back-and-forth, just to visit family? I'm entering 1L so I have no idea what it's like, but hopefully someone with experience will be able to tell me more about it. Thanks in advance.
  7. All right, thanks a lot for responding.
  8. Yes, thanks a lot! Really helpful. Got a question though, OP I hope you don't mind if I ask here. Is there a way to know which section you are in before orientation though? I wish I knew exactly what my schedule would be like way before I start orientation.
  9. Waitlsted on May 26th cGPA: 3.5, L2: 3.85ish, 158/158 I've been checking OASIS every day, even on the weekends even though I know admissions office is probably closed on the weekends. I checked on Friday afternoon, Friday evening, Friday night, Saturday morning, evening and night. What I found weird though is that I checked earlier today, at around 5 AM (Sunday morning) and that's when it was updated to reflect the May 26th change. Found that really odd.
  10. Yeah I guess having not sent the email wouldn't have made a difference if they'll get your transcript regardless of the email. However, I don't think having emailed them puts you in a negative light or makes you stand out negatively in any way. Good luck
  11. Sorry to hear that :(! Do you mind sharing your stats?
  12. Yeah! All other Ontario universities except Lakehead. Why do you ask?
  13. Accepted today! cGPA: 3.5 L2: 3.85 LSAT: 158/158 Will be declining. Good luck to all.
  14. Waitlisted today cGPA: 3.5 L2: 3.8 LSAT: 158/158
