  1. What do you consider a "reasonable" LSAT score?
  2. The honours program I'm in at UBC involves three six-credit seminars and a minimum sixty page thesis. Quite a difference in Eastern Canada it seems.
  3. Isn't an honours degree in Ontario just standard 4 year degree elsewhere?
  4. I really think if you studied for the LSAT and applied in the next cycle you could get into Calgary or Dalhousie. Getting a job in Vancouver from TRU won't be easy from what I've heard.
  5. Is submitting a third reference letter in addition to the required two frowned upon? I have two profs who have agreed to write references for my forthcoming application and am considering asking a third. I've done very well in all his courses and we have a good rapport so it would be a strong letter as well. I'd also be grateful if someone could shed light on what admissions officers look for when reading references. Thanks.
  6. Are you planning on going to TRU? IIRC, you previously mentioned you had an offer from there.
  7. Since when was track and field the domain of the exclusive domain of the working class?
  8. If I may ask, what are your concerns regarding Windsor?
  9. If you don't mind my asking, declining in favour of what school?
  10. From which and, of those, which sends the most students to New York. Lastly, what is the average class rank of these students? I appreciate your comments, thanks.
  11. I hope this isn't too early. I thought it would be a good idea for people applying in August to have a thread to share our travails as we put together our applications and then wait in angst for offers.
  12. You really shouldn't have to ask whether you need to rewrite a 155.
  13. I can't speak to McGill, but with regards to the rest, your best shot is with the L2 schools .ie. Dal and U of A. I'm not sure how you calculated your L2 but U of A has their own scale which gives 'inflates' one's OLSAS GPA significantly.
  14. Not good, there's no other way to put it, sorry.
  15. I took Princeton Review's 84 hour online course. I recommend it. Some of the students in my class had actually come after a negative experience with Kaplan. The instructor also told us a story of how she'd used her interview with Kaplan as prep for her PR interview. Make of that what you will.
  16. Will you be working at a Magic Circle, or similar firm? How likely is someone from your school to secure such a job?
  17. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3356084/I-ve-gone-child-Husband-father-seven-52-leaves-wife-kids-live-transgender-SIX-YEAR-OLD-girl-named-Stefonknee.html Tell me, why does a 53 year old man think he's a 6 year old girl? It's one thing to become a transgender but why does he have to change his age as well? Is age a social construct as well now? I don't personally have any issues with transgender people but it's because of cases like this that a lot of conservatives do.
  18. People should be defined by their response to adversity rather than the actual nature of adversity they've endured.
  19. You said that universities were tolerant of conservative opinions. I then proceeded to cite a glaring example of the opposite.
