  1. There's been wind of this for the last year or two. I have heard hints that they were talking to a fairly highly ranked school in the southwest, but as far as I know that's little more than gossip.
  2. This is false. As pointed out above, several ABA schools such as Tulane and Cooley admit students who have not completed their undergraduate degrees.
  3. You don't really need a lot of background knowledge for PPSL.
  4. It's not such a great drive in the winter when the QE2 is covered in snow and ice... While Calgary clearly has many more of the white collar energy sector jobs, Edmonton really does have a plethora of government opportunities. Alberta is still desperate for workers in general, so I would suspect that she should be able to find something in Edmonton without too much difficulty (although I admittedly am not very familiar with her specific fields of interest).

  7. I have no reason to believe this is so. Admissions are so highly numbers-based that subjective factors rarely seem to be taken into account in any case.
  8. You get to keep them for a while, but I don't think it's indefinite. What you can do is sign up for a ualberta.NET address through the alumni page on the university website. You can forward that address to another account and keep it forever.
  9. All law schools are liberal. Although we do have a few conservative profs at Alberta.
  10. I agree - a 3.5 isn't bad as long as you do okay on the LSAT.
  11. Most of the residence partying happens in Lister Hall, which is where most first year undergrads end up. I haven't lived in HUB myself, so take the following with a grain of salt: Let us just say that I haven't heard great reports about living there. Plus there was a bed bug problem a few years back which was just pretty gross... I know nothing about Newton Place.
  12. As long as you don't apply to have your C- lowered and have them change it to a D
  13. That's complete BS. But, the better your grades, the better your options.
  14. After re-reading the above, I believe we are on a B curve, not a B- curve.
