Scotiabank Student Line of Credit Question Regarding Taking a Year Off During Studies

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi, I have two questions regarding the Scotiabank Student Line of Credit.  I plan on taking a year off during my law studies, and then resume studying law.

1.  If I take a year off during my law studies, what will happen to my current student line of credit?
2.  After resuming the study of law after taking a year off, will I have to renegotiate a new line of credit after taking a year off?

Thank you.

I'm just looking for general information regarding taking a year off.  Shouldn't the response be the same from all advisors?

I think the point of that message is that the right person to discuss this with is an advisor.

You probably won't find much information here about what happens to your LOC when you take a year off because most law students don't take a year off and don't know what will happen.
