For those wanting to know I asked a question regarding completion of my file and received this from Wanda.

Good morning,

I reviewed your application and to date there is still no decision on your file.  The Admissions Committee will begin their review of files for Supplementary Review (waitlist) over the next few weeks.  As soon as decisions are finalized I will update your status online.

Hope this helps someone wondering what is going on!

How suspenseful

Accepted today.

159, 3.72

Thrilled that me and my sons will finally be able to get out of the cut throat world of 80s Billy Joel cover bands and into the much more peaceful world of law.

I am very happy to say I was just offered, and will be accepting, a place. CGPA with drops 3.2, L2 3.5, 155 LSAT. Although it is always mentioned, strong extra curriculars and LOR.

Good luck to everyone else waiting. I know it can be stressful, but don't give up hope just yet!

No, it was just before the waitlist. The waitlist shouldn't be final until the 15th of June. Although they offered me a position, one must of opened up before the waitlist begun -  so I assume.

    • I went to CIBC, Scotia, and TD.

Scotia offered - $125K at prime
      - Offered a credit card with $10K limit (waived the annual fee) TD offered - $100K at prime CIBC offered - $100K at prime +1.

They all are pretty much 5 - 10 minute application forms I sat with a representative at each bank and the process is nearly identical at all three. The reps mentioned you do not need a co-signer unless you have some credit red flags, which would then require a guarantor (not a co-signer). I did not discuss repayment terms.

      Prime is currently at 3.45%.

    • How was your exam?
    • Graduation, course, discretionary etc.
    • Thanks everyone!

Follow-up question: Is it standard for the student line of credit to convert to a normal line of credit with a higher interest rate (e.g. prime + 3%) 12 months after graduation?
    • I have an 8 yr old macbook pro and its a great computer despite its age.  One day it just shut off mid use and wouldn't turn on again.  Managed to get the issue fixed, but thankfully I also have a chromebook and all my work saved in cloud storage or I would have been screwed for about a week.
