1L here who finished midterms last week but can't stop thinking about grades. To any 2Ls/3Ls, do you remember when you heard back about midterm grades? Was it after your holiday break, in person? Or was there an email/update on UMlearn?

Also, if you applied for 1L summer jobs, how did you submit transcripts? A lot of places ask for law school transcripts, but we haven't finished any courses yet? So I'm a little confused about that.

Grades take a while to come back, if I recall correctly. It depends on the prof—some take longer than others—but it'll likely be a couple weeks into winter term. I believe the faculty does send out an email, but it's just as likely some keener will post that grades are up on Facebook before you even get that email.
