Admissions Process

Recommended Posts

I'm applying from out of province and was just wondering how to check my application status. As far as I know I've only been able to log on to OLSAS and check the offers/choices. In previous threads I have heard people mentioning myUWindsor and checking their status that way, how does one go about doing this?

    • I went to CIBC, Scotia, and TD.

Scotia offered - $125K at prime
      - Offered a credit card with $10K limit (waived the annual fee) TD offered - $100K at prime CIBC offered - $100K at prime +1.

They all are pretty much 5 - 10 minute application forms I sat with a representative at each bank and the process is nearly identical at all three. The reps mentioned you do not need a co-signer unless you have some credit red flags, which would then require a guarantor (not a co-signer). I did not discuss repayment terms.

      Prime is currently at 3.45%.

    • How was your exam?
    • Graduation, course, discretionary etc.
    • Thanks everyone!

Follow-up question: Is it standard for the student line of credit to convert to a normal line of credit with a higher interest rate (e.g. prime + 3%) 12 months after graduation?
    • I have an 8 yr old macbook pro and its a great computer despite its age.  One day it just shut off mid use and wouldn't turn on again.  Managed to get the issue fixed, but thankfully I also have a chromebook and all my work saved in cloud storage or I would have been screwed for about a week.
