I just checked my email and I got an invitation to the French common law program at Ottawa U. Is this just that...an invitation? Or does it mean something more, like maybe I am being seriously considered for admission? Has anyone else received something like this? I could always reply to the email and ask this, but I just don't want to look stupid to the adcom. Any help would be appreciated!!

It means nothing. In previous years they sent a similar letter, in the mail, in a brown document envelope. I'm sure you can imagine how misleading this was.

I got that letter and was dinged last year.

I got this email too.
I had manged to convince myself that it meant both that I was soon to be accepted and soon to be rejected.
Now I find out it means nothing. Not sure if this pleases me or not.

Beautifully written, though, I must say. I miss French Immersion.
