Hey everyone,

I wrote the LSAT this last DEC and scored a 172. I couldn't have done it without alot of support and tips from other people. So I am trying to pay it forward and help some people out. Ask me any questions about the LSAT. Studying, sched, specific strategies, certain games, certain types of LR or RC. Whatever you questions I will try to answer! You can post in this thread or PM me.

Thank you for offering your help!

Without rushing, I always get to the last RC passage with 5 minutes left. If i attempt to read the passage, I'll have a minute to answer the questions. Alternatively, I can attempt the questions without reading the passage. What do you think is better?

I see two other options

Rush through the first 3 passages as to ensure enough time to rush through the fourth

Take your sweet as time on the first 3 passages and geuss on the passage with the fewest questions.

What should I do??

Simple. Which method leaves you with a consistent higher score? Pick that one.

Attempting the questions without reading the passage makes absolutley no sense to me. I would do a few things. make sure the last passage you read is the one with the fewest questions, that way you are missing the fewest number of questions. So as soon as you start the section take a few seconds to look at all the sections and determine which section has the fewest questions and do that one last. I would work on your timing, I think it is quite possibl for you to get atleast half way through the questions on the last passgage with a little work. When are you writing the exam? What kind of RC prep work have you done so far?

If I were you (and provided you're not writing today) I would start drilling just reading comp sections. Do a couple at 40 mins, then start dialing it down to the 35, and then lower if you can get it. Another thing that might help is having a read of the questions prior to reading the section. That way you know what to look for as you read. Also, you are almost always better off to go for accuracy as opposed to volume on the LSAT. I skipped an entire games section and still got a high score.
