Has anyone been accepted for Special Access for 2012?

I have not been accepted, but my file has been forwarded for review as of last night.

I have also applied under special access. My application has also been forwarded for review last week.

From my understanding, I thought the special access category files are not reviewed until May-June. Or did I get this confused with another school?

I haven't heard of May or June review, maybe it's earlier this year because of the new November application deadline? My application says 'decision pending', I hope we find out soon!

dlb, just out of curiousity, did you apply to UVic in the special access category or regular category?

Highest Lsat 164

I applied to Uvic last year and was waitlisted until the day classes began in Septmeber...then got my rejection email.

Uvic said they calculated my stats as 76% (with drops) and I had a 162 LSAT. Lots of ECs though - work and volunteer experience.

I’ve applied again this year (re-took some undergrad courses and took some new ones - raised my gpa a bit). My file is to the committee for review.

What's the difference between 'forwarded for review' and 'to the committee for review'?

Got an acceptance today. Applied special access but Dawn said that they admitted me in the regular category because my marks were competitive for the regular category.

Hey all,

To answer some of the questions on here – all special access applicants are reviewed by our admissions committee – hence why these files will say “forwarded to committee for review”. Because these files are accessed by multiple committee members, it is a longer process than the regular category. Thus, although many of the special access applications we have received are currently undergoing the review process, we have yet to send out any offers in this category. Hang tight – they will be coming soon!

My application only said 'forwarded for review' then 'decision pending' instead of 'forwarded to committee for review', what does that mean?
