I'm curious as to the difference (i.e. powers, responsibilities, eligibility/requirements for each, etc.). I did a search but didn't find anything.

From my experience in other forums, mods only have control over threads (eg. closing, moving, merging) whereas admin have control over threads, forums (creating new forums) and users (banning).

Mostly accurate, although our mods are awesome and I'm more than happy to let them control bans and that sort of stuff since they tend to interact with the rabble more often anyway. I do all the technical backend stuff, deal with finances (hosting, software, etc etc) and have backend control over the forums. LawMom is more of a moderator but it seemed like a good idea to have two admins just in case I got hit by a bus or something.
