GPA 3.3 should finish with 3.4

B2: 3.68

LSAT 158 (wrote once)

Great Ecs, LoRs, etc

Very Ottawa-centric PS

Thoughts?

Thanks for weighing, in. Those are my thoughts too, I am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was accepted mid-December with a cGPA of 3.32 and an LSAT of 166.

I do have a graduate degree (GPA 3.9), but I wanted to share my stats to show that you're not sunk at Ottawa if you have a low cGPA!

Thanks, forthewin. That's encouraging, but I don't have an MA nor a 166 haha. Fingers crossed!

You'll get an offer. I couldn't tell you when, though. Yes uOttawa loves CGPA, but your LSAT makes up for your slightly lower-than-ideal CGPA.

Thanks. I definitely feel more hopeful after getting my LSAT score back.

I have a 3.4 cgpa, 3.65 B2 and a 156. Really good ec's, as well as two summer internships with the Ministry of the Attorney General in Toronto. Strong letters of reference-one of which was from the Ministry. Strong ps.

Also, I can't write again- I wrote three times already, cancelled one, the other score is a 154.

Chances?

Ottawa is very GPA centric. 3.4 is a bit on the low end, and 156 does not help that situation. My advice would be rewrite the LSAT or apply to a school such as Windsor that will look at your EC's.

Sorry I didn't read that it was your third attempt. Apply to more holistic schools.

Adding my stats if anyone has a comment:

cGPA 3.71 (With Fall marks almost 3.8) as per OLSAS

LSAT: 155

Solid academic references and 2 years in law enforcement.

Unfortunately my LSAT will likely kill me!

I would re-write LSAT to better your chances.

Chances?

GPA: 3.7
LSAT: 161
Very strong extra-curriculars (lots of student government, academic jobs, etc) and a very Ottawa-centric PS.

Does anyone know if Ottawa puts your file aside (and considers it incomplete) if you indicated that you were writing the Feb LSAT? I've already been accepted at Osgoode and Western, and am really antsy to hear back from Ottawa. I've decided not to re-write the LSAT and have now cancelled my Feb sitting and am wondering if Ottawa had put my file aside or something?

They look at your file regardless of whether or not you're set to write the February LSAT. :)

It seems as if offers tend to go out (or live on infoweb) on Mondays? or is this already established?

I say this as someone who 2 cycles ago had the same stats (before I re-wrote this year) as you and was rejected everywhere: I would strongly advise making contingency plans for next year.

I hope you get in, but be prepared.

Can anyone verify this? Then I can stop checking infoweb every day like a crazed lunatic...
