Once again, software update time. We went from Invision Power Board 3.1 to 3.2.3. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on who you speak to) skins were redone in this version and our old one didn't fare very well in the conversion. So, we have a new one. I think it is a lot cleaner and am quite fond of it. If you don't like it, there is a blue option - go to the "Change Theme" option at the botton of the page and switch it up. Blue is the IPB default.

There is a bit of a bug where sometimes the new post/reply box doesn't seem to load. It's annoying, I know. Refreshing usually fixes the issue. I'm tracking it down and will have a fix ASAP.

Happy posting.

Fixed the box not showing up bug. So that should be it.

I like it, but the one little thing about the old software mobile version was when I would view a thread with new posts, it would jump to the new post automatically instead of having me to scroll to them.

It looks great, Morgan. Thanks for taking the time to do this and I hope you don't get a repeat of all the whining that the changes in April created.

It still does, but you have to be logged in I think. It works for me!

Love it. Very simple.

Should I keep hoping for a New Call section or has that idea fallen by the wayside?

I'm really liking it here. Thanks for all of your hard work!

We will be doing that soon. Step one was getting this working right (and now fixing the little bugs that have cropped up)

Some neat things I noticed :
  • The plus/minus buttons have been replaced with a "Like This". The reputation meter in profiles is gone but the star-rating is still there. So we're really backing off on negative feedback opportunities in the software.
  • The new WYSIWYG text editor seems to handle line/paragraph breaks and whitespace in general better. It seemed with the last version that the first line after a quote box was always a little off.
  • When you're reading a thread and someone posts a new comment, there's a little notification that pops up and it lets you read the new content without reloading.
  • Revamping of the "New content" screen. Its behaviour seems more consistent now, and more customizable. I like it.
  • Autosave on replies. Is that new?
  • ETA: Looks like the profile photo/avatar distinction has been replaced by a single image. That's probably for the best, I think. It was odd that our profile photos would show up as our avatar in the mobile version of the site, but they'd only be visible on the profile page (and top-right user identification area) on the full site.

Usually when forum software changes, I hate the result. Not this time! I think it looks clean, simple, and...red!

I like it.

Is it possible to have "Mark all posts read" function? It's a bit annoying in new posts, since there are posts from days ago (that I have no interest in reading) that still show up, and I'd prefer not to have to click on each one to make it disappear from the list.

EDIT: Sorry, I found the feature hiding on the bottom of the page.
