Certainly not for the hell of it. Two years ago it was the only school I applied to (and was accepted) and I was certain I wanted to do the dual JD program with the Washington College of Law with my interest in constitutional law and politics, figured having the American JD be valuable knowledge-wise.

Now coming to the conclusion of my MA, I don't see the same value in going into a four year program. I am 95% certain I'll go with uToronto, but depends on financial assistance and how I feel after their Welcome Day this week.

I LOVE the city of Ottawa, though.

I have almost exactly the same stats as you and I'm also waiting to hear from Ottawa U. I'm in at Western but kinda have a personal connection in Ottawa that I would hate to give up anyway just wanted to say good luck to you from someone who is in the same situation!

In as of March 2011, and I'm getting prepped to return to school this fall.

I figured I'd post to let everyone know that it is possible to defer at uOttawa for one year (I wrote an email elaborating on my reason for deferral).

Anybody gonna make a Facebook group?

I know it is possible (had a friend do that after accepting last cycle but wanting to go to france to work at vimy ridge, she'll be coming to UO law in sept 2012. However I don't know the process for applyling for the deferral.

Checked this afternoon, and found that I'd been accepted. I checked last night and wasn't in, so I guess this happened sometime this AM/early afternoon. Likely accepting Osgoode on Friday, so my spot will likely be open to someone else soon.
