Hi guys,
I’m currently in the midst of applying to schools where I have decent shots of acceptance. I know that Ottawa is very CGPA centric and I’m wondering whether with my cgpa stats I should even bother applying.
CGPA: 3.54
Best 2 / Last 2: 3.81
If anything, there was a strong and consistent upward trend, but I think at best it’s a soft factor?
Really appreciate your input guys.
Shoud i bother to apply?

Id say go for it. I think if you have a strong PS, softs etc. you have a chance for sure.

Got in last cycle with a similar but slightly higher cGPA. I'd go for it.

I got in last year with a very similar CGPA (3.5ish) and a last 2 of around 3.3ish, (best 2 was like 3.6).
So ya, I would definitely recommend applying.
p.s. my extracurriculars and cover letter were probably average, although I am from Ottawa.

Worst case scenario, if things don't work out with Ottawa, you should be able to get into schools that are just as good if not better
