Hey remit,
I was just wondering what the average age was when you started
studying law (FCML)? Are there a lot of people that are 25+ ?

Thanks for your help.

There is a good mix of people in the programme. There were some as young as 18 and some adult students. I'd say the average was about 25ish but not too sure. I was a little worried that I would feel "old" (I'm 28) but it definitely isn't the case so I wouldn't be too concerned with the whole age thing based on my experience.

BTW, check out the FB page at https://www.facebook.com/commonlawfr - there's a discussion thread where you can ask questions as well...

Cheers!

My application was rejected yesterday. I'm posting my stats as information for next year's prospective students.
GPA - 2.99
Last 2 years' GPA - 3.7
LSAT - none

(Calculations based on column 3 at http://careers.mcmas...nversion-chart.)

I received the following answer(rejection) to my application for the Canadian law program and no answers for the french program, yet.should I wait for a separate answer or that's it !!!!! I called them and they say that my file is still under review but here it says something else.could anybody tell me what does it mean ?

"Le Comité d'admission a examiné attentivement votre demande d'amission au programme de common law de la Faculté de droit, offert en français. Nous avons le regret de vous aviser que nous ne pouvons vous offrir une place dans ce programme."

When you say "Canadian law program" do you mean the Programme de droit canadien? Because it seems to me that the quoted text deals with the FCML programme...I'm not too sure what to tell you. When I applied, I had two separate applications which were both answered separately...

Does anyone who was admitted for September 2011 wanna share their GPA?

Also I noticed the Facebook page discussion (http://www.facebook....258976&topic=42) seems to have a couple students who may be anglophones with a high level of fluency in French. Anyone want to share their experience?

Oh I found my answer to the 2nd question. There's some interesting details about the French programme here - http://lawstudents.c...960-french-llb/ (just required some more digging than I intitially did...)
