  1. Accepted 2018

I think you might have to pay a deposit. It should be something around 500$.
  2. Current 1L single JD, Ask me Anything.

Yes, I know some people who did. I am not aware of details but if you need LOC, defentily follow up on it as it seems something you can possibly get.
  3. Current 1L single JD, Ask me Anything.

No problem, glad to help. 1) The campus is nice, it is located in a below average neighborhood and most houses around the area are very old. If you are used to better neighborhoods specially in big cities, you might not like it that much but the campus itself is nice. Windsor have some good areas including some parts of downtown and the riverside ( the view of bridge and Detroit skyline) that are actually alright to look at. 2) As single JD 1Ls this year, we are divided into 3 section. Our section classes are from Monday night to Friday Morning. We have one morning class and one afternoon classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Other section have a similar schedule with a little bit difference in time of some classes. It might change for next year however since they are making some changes to the classes.
  4. In first semester, instead of reading week, the 1L single JDs, have PILS week. Basically they divide all 1st year students to random 9-10 people groups and then you are assigned a guide person who is actually a real lawyer. They give you a hypothetical scenarios and they bring actors to play the role of your clients and you get chance to interview them and also negotiate with the opposite counsel group. At the end you have to write a memo based on the information, interviews and research you have done about the scenario and your instructor will grade you on the scale of pass and fail and almost all groups pass usually. It can be a intimidating experience but overall the purpose is to work as large groups to improve your teamwork and get a brief outlook of how being a lawyer feels like.

My suggestion is to work on your personal statement. The first time I applied, I had a bad one but I worked on it more for the second year. My ECs and LORs are average but considering my circumstances and story they might look more impressive.
